REAL.LIFE.MUSIC CAMP & REAL.LIFE.SKATE CAMP

2008's camps were a real success!
We can't wait to start planning for next year. We'll have the info up as soon as possible for you.

MUSIC: CALLING ALL BANDS!
Click here to listen to, watch, and read about previous Band Campers!

REAL.LIFE.MUSIC CAMP, directed by Liz Berlin of Rusted Root is a unique opportunity, which provides young artists with invaluable knowledge, experience and resources, to help guide them towards success as working musicians in the music industry. Workshops and seminar topics will range from band dynamics to booking your own shows, web presence and marketing, as well as musicianship and performance seminars. All participants will walk away from the camp with a professionally recorded demo of their own original music, professional band photo, comprehensive bio and a wealth of printed resources to help guide them in their careers. Ages generally range from 14 to 18, but anyone who feels they would benefit is welcome to attend. We’ve had some over 20’s and heck if we get enough middle schoolers, we’ll go for it!
REAL.LIFE.MUSIC CAMP will culminate with a concert featuring the talents of all camp artists and bands as well as presenting and visiting artists. The show will be open to the public. All are invited to attend.
Special guests this year included none other than Pat Thetic of Anti-Flag and Preach Freedom of Rusted Root, among many others.

SKATE: BRING YOUR RIDE!

Mr. Smalls Skatepark’s fifth annual REAL.LIFE.SKATE CAMP will once again be held in the summer of 2009 at Mr. Smalls Skatepark, located in the Millvale Riverfront Park. The newly redesigned park has an in-depth street course with a great variety of ramps for skateboarding, in-line skating and freestyle biking. Our program is modeled after that of Woodward Camp, the premier extreme sports camp in the country, which was developed and directed for 10 years by Mr. Smalls’ President and Owner, Mike Speranzo. This one-week intensive for Skate, In-Line & Freestyle Bikers will be instructed by our staff and visiting pros including none other than pro inline legend Chris Edwards and rapid-up-and-coming skateboarder Evan Smith. There will be Pro demos and amateur events for every skill level and prizes provided by many sponsors and skate companies.
