Monument is a "pop-punk/hardcore" band formed from and eclectic trio of musicians at the Mr.Smalls Real.Life.Music Camp. Band members have come together from different backgrounds to create the Pittsburgh-based band, Monument.
Eli
Eli is a 14-year-old keyboardist from the Greater PIttsburgh Area and this is his second year at Mr.Smalls Real.LIfe.Music Camp. His widespread musical tastes include techno, metal, rock, jazz, pop, classical, and rap. Eli cites John Lennon and Bruce Springsteen to be amoung his strongest influences.

Melanie
Melanie, a vocalist and songwriter from Mt. Lebanon, has written over 50 songs since she began her musical career in the third grade. Her sound is mix of rock and country that is reminicent of Shiana Twain, Sheryl Crow, and Stevie Nicks. An award-winning poet and writer, Melanie has recorded and produced an album of original songs. She's performed solo shows in the Greater Pittsburgh Area, including USC and local Community Days.

Dave
Dave is a guitarist from White Oak, PA who has produced 3 full albums with his hardcore band Maizeon. He has played numerous shows, including an opportunity to open for the national headliner Every Time I Die. Although he's mainly into hardcore and metal, there is also hints of jazz in his musical style. He cites bands from Jamie Cullum to Between the Buried and Me as influences. After a show, Dave says, “I like when people personally take the time to walk up to me and touch me (even though I'm gross and sweaty) to thank me.”
